Jr Iron Chef VT

Jr Iron Chef VT  teaches communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills by empowering youth to create locally sourced meals that promote Vermont’s farm to school efforts. The 2026 competition will be held March 14 in Essex Junction.  

1,000 School Days In: How Vermont Is Growing a Stronger School Food System

Last month, Vermont passed a milestone of 1,000 school days (five years!) ensuring every student has access to breakfast and lunch at school. A school food director shares the impacts she sees every day.
