I recently learned about abogen and audiblez and what I want to do is blog to adiobook but Iâm still stuck in getting the book from the blog.
Iâm now thinking maybe c/linux would have been a better place to ask since Iâm not trying to program anything. Let me know if I should move it there.
If you are going to use a modal editor like vim you should probably learn touch typing with the US layout.

Programmingâ¢Best Tool and Layout for Learning Touch Typing on Linux?
5·7 months agoHonestly, I believe that, except for Russians or anyone whose language isnât derived from Latin, using a US keyboard for programming is best, because you wonât be missing many keys. Maybe the French will miss the
ç, but you can learn the Unicode just like I did with the em dash and quotation marks:- Em Dash (â):
U+2014 - En Dash (â):
U+2013
Quotation marks:
- Left double quote (â):
U+201C - Right double quote (â):
U+201D - Left single quote (â):
U+2018 - Right single quote (â):
U+2019
- Em Dash (â):

Or use systems timers
systemd timers? Isnât that dependent on whether or not there is systemd? I thought there were Linux distros that donât use it.

Opensourceâ¢Are there any other dark themes available for many services like the dracula one?
2·10 months agoMine too but I donât want to spend the time adapting it for every thing I use so Iâm willing to compromise.
This is the kind of thing Iâm looking for, not ufos disappearing people.
I may have my mind made up, but I could change it if people said something more easily verified, like the kind of police brutality that happens in US, instead of people disappearing like the chinese has ufos contracted, that just sounds like conspiracy theories made up by the americans.
And of course you send me the article from a paper thatâs the mouthpiece of some US billionaire. Would you take it seriously if a chinese paper said the US âsecret policeâ is disappearing people? They are going to paint the worse possible picture since they are rivals.
Democracy broadly refers to a system of government where ultimate power rests with the people. I donât believe itâs solely about voting; rather, itâs about whether people perceive that they are being represented by the government.
All states are authoritarian according to this answer.
But Iâm asking about real examples not made up ones. And if you are referring to secret services all countries have those.
Is it really a democracy when people want something, sign a petition and get dismissed?
Iâm asking how to browse reddit on a reddit community. Where else would I ask?

Asklemmy@lemmy.mlâ¢What's the most cynical opinion you've heard about the jedi during the Star Wars prequels?
13·1 year agoThe Jedi are nothing more than the lapdogs of the Senate, serving as the enforcers of a corrupt and decadent Republic. They reside in a literal ivory tower within the heart of the capital, Coruscant, a city consumed by greed and political intrigue. Their supposed wisdom and connection to the Force are mere facades, masking their complicity in maintaining the status quo of a failing system. They mouth platitudes about peace and justice while being manipulated by the very politicians they are supposed to protect. Their arrogance and detachment from the common people make them oblivious to the true nature of the galaxy they claim to safeguard. In reality, they are more concerned with preserving their own power and prestige than with genuinely serving the greater good.

4·1 year agoI wish it had been like that but changing it at this point would break too many links.

Wouldnât the chinese or whoever doesnât chose to do that gain market share?
