Abstract
In the late Qing after the Jiaqing reign (1796–1820), the imperial kilns decreased rapidly and were on the wane due to the decreasing course of the historical development of the Qing dynasty with domestic disorders and foreign invasions. In the first half of the Qing, the imperial kiln flourished alongside the prosperity of the empire, for 180 years of the reigns of the Emperors of Tianming, Shunzhi, Kangxi, Yongzheng, and Qianlong. But the imperial kiln was approaching its grave as the decline and fall of the Qing Empire, for 116 years of the later reigns of the Emperors of Jiaqing, Daoguang, Xianfeng, Tongzhi, Guangxu, and Xuantong. The situation was getting worse year by year. With the fall of the Qing Empire, the imperial kiln exited the stage of history. It is the last century of the history of the imperial kilns in the Qing dynasty as well as in China.
