Updating Task DetailEstimate #10

Hi
VersionOne is hosted for us by VersionOne. I am trying to simply update the DetailEstimate of a task. I am not seeing the change reflected in VersionOne. There is no reported error message. If you have any thoughts on what could be going wrong it would be great to hear. I have no problems querying various objects and seeing their attributes. Just can not update anything.

)task = v1.Task.where(Number='TK-02357').first()
task.DetailEstimate = 21
v1.commit()

I am also unable to update data fields with v1pysdk's v1.commit(). My scripts report that the fields have changed when they are queried after the change, but when I access the data via the V1 web interface the same fields are unchanged. Then within 24hrs this 'changed' data reflected in my scripts is reset. Would like some help with this issue.
