trouble authenticating to my corporate's versionone #6

I'm trying to alter the basic sample.js to connect to my own version one and it doesn't work.

I don't know much about v1 so I poked about in our instance.

Under "member details" menu, on the "permitted apps" page I've got some oauth stuff. Do I need to oauth somehow before I can use my instance? I suspect our local v1 admins won't know about API access. Do they need to turn something on before I can access the API?

Please help with the basics "getting go" topics.
