Addressed the latest CodeRabbit findings on current head
Exact-head required CI is green: https://github.com/unwired-dev/product/actions/runs/31933874455 (Debug 14m53s, Release performance 20m12s, Core Mail Loop 23m7s). Strict swift-format, SwiftLint, and whitespace validation also passed. CodeRabbit has automatically paused reviews on this commit-heavy branch, so I did not manually trigger another review. |
Summary
Root cause
The existing Apple validation selected a pre-existing Simulator by name. Its stale
testmanagerdUnix socket caused Xcode to report a runner failure without executing tests. Once validation used a fresh owned Simulator, the Core Mail Loop exposed two application-level issues: the root.privacySensitive()modifier hid synthetic content from screenshots and XCUITest accessibility queries, and foreground revalidation replaced the synthetic product-account session.Additional full-suite failures came from mismatched test fixtures, an Inbox Cleanup cooldown read from a different storage path than its dismissal write, and timing-sensitive async test synchronization.
Impact
Production mail remains privacy-sensitive. Only synthetic
MAIL_TEST_BOOTSTRAPbuilds expose their non-sensitive fixture content to UI automation. Trusted automated Apple validation now avoids shared Simulator state and low-disk linker failures, while untrusted pull-request validation remains confined to the PR babysitter sandbox or exact-head CI.Validation
