In my nvim I have a specific windows layout with some rules about windows placing.
Above all I typically cycle throw existed buffers in already existed windows instead of opening new ones.
So It would be nice to have lua functions/commands/hooks to control in which window opencode's buffers will be opened instead of creating new dedicated one.
@asciimoth just FYI there are other plugins that do a fantastic job to organize Neovim windows in pre-defined layouts. Since we use a side panel edgy.nvim is very-well suited for it. imo complex window layouts are better handled externally than within this plugin

Thanks for the suggestion
That might be complex to incorporate. The plugin is intended to be a side panel and there is 3 window the output, the footer(floating) and the input.
I would need proper examples on how you manage your window.
I would be ok with adding hooks, but I can't test your your workflow.
A PR would be welcome as long as it's generic enough for other people
