Stacked on top of #380. This follow-up normalizes the existing whitespace issues that violate the new .editorconfig rules, including missing final newlines, trailing whitespace, and leading tab indentation in tracked files. Verified by re-running a local editorconfig compliance scan against the touched files after the fixes.
