Cannot update xray distance on 26.3 #394

I cannot go over 6 chunks of xray on 26.3, im on 32 render distance and simulation

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. open minecraft on 26.3
2. open the gui for advanced xray
3. try to update the distance to get it over 6, but nothing happens

I thought it would go over 6 chunks since it worked on 26.2, i guess its just 26.3 version that cant render over 6 chunks

(im using the fabric version on a fabric loader and i use modrinth)
