👋 おはよう1! I'm @rigma

I'm a French software engineer graduated from Efrei. During my time at school, I've studied computed graphics but I didn't pursue this path moving forward. Instead I've served as back end software developer at Ornikar and then at Taster where I used to develop and maintain REST-like2 APIs in both companies.

But I can do other things too! I can do front end magic with either React or Vue.js — but in my opinion Solid is way better than both. I can also do some infrastructure as code with OpenTofu or Terraform. I'm also able to spend long time trying to craft small Docker images.

Finally, I can read query plans coming from PostgreSQL hence, I think I can say that I know how to use this database.

I'm currently looking for a job in Paris region, so if by any chance you have some positions available: do not hesitate to shoot me an email.

What are my human skills?

During these last years, I've mainly used the following programming languages:

  • Python
  • Rust
  • SQL
  • Typescript

I've also some notions of Go and I'm planning to learn Odin and Lean3 later this year. I've a tendency to look for compiled programming languages as I rather prefer to have a compiler error than to face a null pointer exception or arithmetic shenanigans with a string and an integer.

And now for something completely different

I enjoy doing 🥞 crêpes, my own 🍝 pasta and trying to cook good smash burgers. Sometimes, I even try to bake my own bread but it's not very successful for now. Lately, I'm trying to write short stories to improve my writing skills but like my bread: it's not a strong asset.

Also, if you like to play to video games, you should play to Outer Wilds and Gris: they're worth your time.

Footnotes

  1. I know it's not always the morning during a day, but I do like those kanjis 🙈

  2. I'm not sure that I've worked on mature APIs in my career to be honest 🤷‍♂️

  3. No, it's not to farm Erdös or Millenium Price problems.
