PascalBonny.Project_Forge

Welcome to PascalBonny.Project_Forge, an Ansible collection designed to deploy a fully containerized Blockchain development stack. Created by Pascal Bonny, this collection provides a modular, extensible foundation for building modern decentralized applications (dApps) with a focus on web, mobile, smart contracts, infrastructure orchestration, CI/CD automation, security, monitoring, and Web3 integration.

Purpose

This collection streamlines the setup and deployment of a complete Blockchain development environment using Docker containers. It includes roles for:

  • Frontend: A React-based UI with Vite and Tailwind CSS.
  • Backend: A Node.js/Express API server.
  • Smart Contracts: Hardhat-managed Solidity contracts deployable to multiple Blockchain networks.
  • Mobile: A cross-platform app with React Native or Flutter.
  • Nginx: A proxy server to route traffic to active containers.
  • Security: Vulnerability scans and secret detection with Trivy and TruffleHog.
  • Monitoring: Observability with Prometheus, Grafana, and Loki.
  • IPFS: Decentralized storage integration.
  • Tests: Unit tests and Ansible role validation with Molecule.
  • CI/CD: Automated workflows with GitHub Actions.

Built for rapid prototyping or production-ready development, this collection enforces consistency and leverages containerization for portability.

Prerequisites

To use this collection, ensure the following are installed on your host machine:

  • Ansible: Version 2.9+ (sudo apt install ansible).
  • Docker: For containerized deployments (sudo apt install docker.io).
  • Docker Compose: Optional, for multi-container setups (sudo apt install docker-compose).
  • Git: For version control (sudo apt install git).
  • kubectl: Optional, for Kubernetes deployments (sudo apt install kubectl).
  • Molecule: Optional, for testing roles (pip install molecule[docker]).

All dependencies (Node.js, npm, Hardhat, Flutter, etc.) are managed within containers, so no local installation is required beyond these tools.

Installation

Install the collection from Ansible Galaxy (once published) or locally:

From Galaxy (future)
