    Just in case you care, to get this kind of semantics when opening a normal terminal, you can add these keybindings:

    [
        // When opening a terminal, focus on it.
        { "key": "ctrl+`", "command": "workbench.action.terminal.focus"},
        { "key": "ctrl+`", "command": "workbench.action.terminal.toggleTerminal", "when": "terminalFocus"}
    ]

    @rchiodo

    Should I need to do anything special here for this to work with 'Python : Run File in Terminal'? It has the same problem.
