Go to definition scenario that does not work #941

I have a folder with the following files:

app.py
helper/__init__.py

Contents of app.py:

import helper

msg = helper.MSG_HELLO
print(msg)

Contents of helper/__init__.py:

MSG_HELLO = 'hello'

Place caret on MSG_HELLO on line msg = helper.MSG_HELLO and go to definition.
Result: No definition found for MSG_HELLO tooltip appears, does not go to definition
