IPython 6.0 will be the first major version to stop supporting Python 2.

I see it being likely finish by mid march, likely a beta earlier. I'm thinking about bumping most of current issues to later release are they are not critical. It might be delayed as well (depending on the reception of how the beta goes), hopefully before PyCon (in May)
