3. Proficiency in front-end technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, React, Angular, or Vue.js)

- Team uses Angular on the front end, so Angular is preferred

4. Solid experience with back-end technologies (Node.js, Python, Django, Java, or Spring Boot)

- First preference is Java on the back end & second preference is Python

5. Understanding of big data concepts - Focus on engineers who understand concept of distributed computing and how things run under the hood from a big data perspective

- How do you design the data to be ready to query via big data technologies?

- More so around big data concepts and distributed computing vs specific big data technology being used

6. Experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, EMR Hive/Presto, RDS, Lambda, Athena, CloudFormation).

General engineering skillsets candidates are expected to have:

- Experience and writing complex SQL queries against Relational databases.

- Experience with DevOps tools and practices (Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes).

- Familiarity with version control systems (Git, GitHub, bitbucket).

- Understanding of CI/CD process
