A cloud-native polyglot microservices e-commerce platform — 12 services over gRPC, a custom microservice of my own, delivered on a self-managed Kubernetes cluster I provision, bootstrap, and operate end-to-end.

The application

• 12 microservices in 6 languages (Go · C# · Node.js · Python · Java) over gRPC + Protocol Buffers
• 🆕 Built a Reviews microservice (Go/gRPC) end-to-end — proto → service → container → K8s → CI/CD — with a pluggable in-memory ↔ PostgreSQL store behind a single Store interface
• World-class storefront — a 25-product catalog across 6 categories with live filter, search & sort, a wishlist, and real product photography; accessible reviews UI (ARIA) + schema.org JSON-LD
• Production-hardened: graceful shutdown (SIGTERM drain), gRPC size/keepalive limits, DB-driven gRPC health, distroless:nonroot images, dedicated NetworkPolicy

The platform — self-managed, entirely as code

• Terraform → AWS VPC + 3× EC2; Ansible + kubeadm → cluster + Calico CNI
• ArgoCD pull-based GitOps (staging auto-sync, prod manual) — CI never holds cluster credentials
• CI/CD in GitHub Actions + Jenkins — vet, race-detector tests, Docker builds, Trivy scan
• Observability: Prometheus + Grafana + Alertmanager + Loki with SRE alert rules
• SRE tooling: HPA, RBAC, Pod Security, plus chaos-engineering & failover labs
