Java,tomcat,ant set up

extract all the archives to a directory and set up .bashrc so that java binaries, ant etc are in you path

JAVA_HOME=/opt/java/jdk ANT_HOME=/opt/java/ant CATALINA_HOME=/opt/java/tomcat

PATH=$PATH:$JAVA_HOME/bin:$ANT_HOME/bin

Tomcat

The conf/tomcat-users.xml will contain the credentials to let you use this webapp.

you will need to add manager role to the config file
