When I tried to use this dongle it gave me an error when trying to start a wifi scan (No carrier). But when I copied the files lib/firmware/rt2870.bin and lib/firmware/rt3070.bin from the debian package firmware-misc-nonfree to /lib/firmware and rebooted, the dongle started working fine, and I'm able to reach the Internet with it.

I think it would be good to include this package in the release image (if possible with licenses), or at least add a notice to the WiFi dongles section that some cards might work when installing it.
