I'm a principal engineer and generalist (my history has been iOS->Management->FE->Backend->Platform). Most of the work I enjoy sits somewhere between platform, product, people and AI. Building tools, shaping systems, and sorting out the awkward messy bits that don't fit anywhere neatly.
I most like helping other engineers and builders be more productive and enjoy the work they do.
At the moment I'm spending most of my time exploring new tools, approaches and workflows in AI engineering.
I've put some of my experiments in to open source projects. These I really just built for me, but might be useful to you too :) Just Speak to It bring your own keys or local transcription (This is very cheap - usually free with credits - compared to transcription app subscriptions), Pasta copy paste history with auto content categorisation - great if you use this as a substitute for remembering things, Tally a habbit tracker that let's you go at any pace and take breaks
