There should be a warning: no code review in gh pr view #14237

Describe the feature or problem you’d like to solve
In the output of gh pr view, only comments, no code review.
It makes the CLI pretty different from a Web browser.
Proposed solution
There should be a conspicuous warning about that.
Because it breaks collaborating between CLI and Web browser users.
Additional context
The issue has braked the collaborating in typst/packages#5090

Thanks for the report! This reads as a feature request rather than a bug:
gh pr viewcurrently doesn't surface full code review content (only issue-style comments), and you'd like either that content shown or a clear warning that it's missing so CLI/web collaboration isn't broken. I found related but not identical prior issues — #13757 ("Show change requests in PR views") and #5788 ("gh pr view --comments should show all comments") — which cover showing more review-related content, though neither specifically proposes a warning. I'm suggesting theenhancementlabel; a maintainer may want to fold this into or close it in favor of one of those related issues.williammartin commentedon Aug 26, 2026
It's true that by default
pr viewdoesn't show reviews, though you can get them viagh pr view https://github.com/cli/cli/pull/14259 --json review.We have a big chunk of work planned to support reviews more comprehensively. This is mostly captured in #359, so I'm going to close this. Thanks for your feedback.
