Hi 👋, I'm Calloway Sutton callowaysutton

Top langs GitHub stats

Low-latency and deterministic systems. Main focus: network infrastructure, plus the HPC and distributed systems that depend on it.

Stack: Go, C/C++, Rust, Python; JavaScript/TypeScript for frontend and backend.

Previous work: Software for geochemistry, physics and mathematical research harnesses, run across thousands of cores on a university supercomputer. Most of the systems knowledge here comes from that work.

Home lab: Six Dell PowerEdge R640 servers, 2x28-core Xeon 8180s, 256GB RAM, and two 2TB SSDs each over a 2x100Gbps network fabric. Mainly runs a hefty ClickHouse cluster, used for storing and accessing a custom CommonCrawl dataset format and playing around with new hardware.

Other ongoing projects: FPGAs, custom ASIC designs, IBM drive hacking, distributed file systems, AI experiments of course.
