Tagline: OpenCode V1 Go profiles share session history; experimental V2 profiles isolate credentials and history
Checklist
Notes
Standalone CLI, not a plugin. The v1.16.0 release adds experimental OpenCode V2 managed profiles: per-alias credentials, isolated XDG roots and SQLite history, with keys synced to each alias's private OpenCode store through the local integration API. V2 does not import native/V1 history. V1 still injects the selected credential through OPENCODE_AUTH_CONTENT and shares normal
/resumehistory. See the release notes. The V2 runtime CI run passed the built CLI's offline launch contract against digest-pinned OpenCode v2.0.6, including credential sync, alias database separation and fail-closed cases. It intercepts the final TUI call, so interactive TUI behavior, add/refresh prompts, session navigation/resume and live model requests remain unverified. The v1.16.0 release record reports the author's local macOS v2.0.21 fake-key contract check passed; no real Go-key request was performed.
For V1, a fake-value OpenCode v1.18.34 auth API fixture left shared auth unchanged at startup, but a later Go-only-overlay write removed a disk-only Anthropic entry. This was an OpenCode API fixture, not a claudex-switch or interactive TUI test. The V1
/connecthandler reaches that auth API. Avoid/connectinside an ordinary V1-runsession; useclaudex-switch addorrefreshfrom the shell instead. V2/connectchanges the session credential; the next claudex launch resyncs the saved alias key (release notes).OpenCode
-runpasses--autoby default (v1.16.0 launcher); OpenCode v1.18.34 defines it as auto-approving permissions not explicitly denied (CLI docs). Review permission settings before launching. The v1.16.0 release is source-available under MIT + Commons Clause v1.0, not OSI open source. Ordinary work use is allowed; charging third parties for products or services whose value derives entirely or substantially from this tool requires separate permission. See LICENSE and COMMERCIAL-LICENSING.md. The v1.14.0 release retains its original MIT terms; the new terms are prospective.
This proposed YAML passed targeted schema validation with Node 24.19.0. The earlier full 230-file directory validation passed with Node 20.20.2 before this wording update. Prepared with AI assistance; no adoption or demand claims are made.
