Hi, I'm Athiban

I'm an accessibility tester and a screen reader user. I build tools and apps that make everyday software easier to use for blind and low-vision people.

What I've built

  • Edge TTS for NVDA and Android - an NVDA add-on and Android text-to-speech engine that brings 300+ Microsoft Edge neural voices to screen reader users.
  • a11y-engine - a userscript that fixes missing labels, roles, keyboard support and focus handling on websites. Every change can be rolled back.
  • Beyond Pixels - an Android photo gallery for blind and low-vision users, on Google Play.

What I work on

Accessibility testing for web and mobile, testing with screen readers, and WCAG.
