A collection of ExtendScript (.jsx) automation scripts for Adobe Illustrator and InDesign.
This is a fork of moluapple/ExtendScripts4AI-ID. The original scripts and their UI are in Chinese. In this fork, the Multi-Page PDF Loader has been translated to English and extended to accept .ai files. Everything else is unmodified upstream work and still has a Chinese interface.
AI_Multi-Page PDF Loader 4 AI v2.5.jsx
Illustrator opens only one page of a PDF at a time. This script imports every page of a multi-page PDF — or, in this fork, an .ai file — into a single document, one page per layer.
- Import all pages, or a page range:
1-5,1, 2, 3, and1, 2-4, 5, 7-8all work - Optionally create one artboard per page, with a configurable gutter (Illustrator CS4 and later)
- Reports how many pages were opened and how long it took
Imported layers come in hidden. Alt-click the eye icon in the Layers panel to toggle them all at once.
Changes in this fork: dialog, file picker, tooltips, completion message, and error strings translated from Chinese to English; file picker accepts *.ai in addition to *.pdf.

AI_VariableMagic_ScriptUI_2.1.jsx, ID_AdjustImage.jsx, and ID_grepCellStyle-1.0b.jsx all #include 'doEx.jsx', a helper library that has never been part of this repository — not upstream and not here. Those three scripts will fail until you obtain doEx.jsx separately and place it alongside them.
doEx.jsx is by kamiseto — ScriptClip.
Copy the .jsx files into your application's Scripts folder, then restart:

Run them from File → Scripts in Illustrator, or the Scripts panel in InDesign.
These scripts were written for CS5/CS6-era versions and are not actively maintained. Your mileage on current Creative Cloud releases may vary.
