Ember has to be installed globally. We make this dependency explicit so that people
aren't confused.

No, that's not correct. What error did you encounter without global ember-cli?

I was running npm install , there were some errors.
After I did npm install -g ember-cli and tried again, it went well.
Unfortunately I can't reproduce it now. I might be able to try it again soon with @matsko
