It will show the current commit information.

show log of commits

--oneline -> show only commit messsages

--stat -> show commit and files and number of changed lines of files

This command will add files from working directory to the staging index.

change the most-recent commit

git reset --soft HEAD~1

It will add commit to staging index.

git reset --hard HEAD~1

It will add commit to trash.

To change branch name:

git branch -m <oldname> <newname>

To change current branch name:

git branch -m <newname>
