Hi, I'm Alan 👋

Software Architect · Drummer · Chemical Engineer · Mexico City 🇲🇽

I build products end to end: UI, APIs, infra and the glue in between. These days I'm working on an AI agent platform at BetterCloud, where I lead the frontend side and design how people build, run and govern their own agents.

When I'm not shipping, I'm behind the lyrics and kit with Band der Waals, an rock fusion pop band from CDMX.

Before software I studied Chemical Engineering (plus a master's in sustainable processes), so I tend to think in systems, flows and feedback loops.

What I'm into right now

  • 🤖 Products for building and running AI agents
  • 🧩 Design systems and component libraries shared across multiple products
  • ⚙️ AI-native dev workflows: Claude Code, custom skills, MCP servers
  • 🥁 Band der Waals: writing and recording our next album
