В случае ввода строки вместо числа просто происходит выход из цикла while, результат функции возвращается = 0 (и при расчете суммы оплаты происходит деление на 0 и падение), а лучше сделать повторный запрос корректного числа человек

Если пользователь введет вместо числа строку, приложение упадет. Лучше такого не допускать, а обрабатывать. Можно использовать метод scanner.hasNextFloat() или try-catch
