Wi-Fi Pose Streaming Latency and Possible USB-C Alternative #28

Description

@Yingdong-Hu

Great project—thanks for sharing it!

I’m currently able to receive various pose data via Wi-Fi, which works well overall. However, I occasionally experience noticeable latency / stuttering.

I’m wondering whether this issue is more likely due to limitations of the Pico device itself, or related to the Wi-Fi network quality. If it’s a networking issue, is it possible (or supported) to connect the Pico to the PC via USB-C instead of Wi-Fi to achieve more stable transmission?

Thanks a lot for your help and for the great work!

    I found that these steps allowed me to stream data via USB-C:

    1. Connect device via USB-C cable
    2. Verify the device is connected:
    adb devices
    1. Set up reverse port forwarding:
    adb reverse tcp:63901 tcp:63901
    1. Verify the port forward is active:
    adb reverse --list
    1. In the headset app, enter 127.0.0.1 as the IP address for the PC service

    Thanks! I’ll try this approach later.
    I also found another working solution using Ethernet: just connect both the PC and the PICO to the same router via Ethernet, no extra setup needed, and the headset app will automatically detect and pop up the PC’s IP address.
