About Me

I'm David Arsénio Martins -- known as Vidi since childhood. A professional photojournalist for 16 years, now transitioning to Software Development.

I took my first steps in tech with the IT Equipment Management Technician course at Escola Profissional de Tecnologia Digital. Photography then became my life for over a decade: a Bachelor's in Photography and Visual Culture from Faculdade IADE, and 16 years working with national and international newspapers, football clubs, and news agencies in Portugal and abroad.

When I decided it was time for a new challenge, I completed the Software Developer programme at CESAE Digital -- part of the Reskilling 4 Employment digital lab -- covering web and mobile development, database management, and software engineering.

First, I learned how machines work. Then, I spent 16 years making images that told stories. Now I write code -- and I bring all of that with me.
