Describe the feature idea
It would be nice if the initial state of a button could be determined by (for example) a cli command.
Additional context
I have some commands that toggle system settings (e.g. connecting to a VPN) but when the page is changed the state of the button is lost. It would be nice if that state could be restored by a command or something alike.

Added with #460. Additionally 2d0dd13 now provides a way to keep states after page switches
