Welcome to the New Genesis English Patch CSV Repository.
Current status of tests and checks:
This repository is dedicated to translating NGS game texts from Japanese to English. Our goal is to provide a way for existing players of the Japanese version of NGS to play in a language that is the most comfortable for them, or for players who do not agree with the Global version of the game (be it policies or general playerbase).
We hope our disclosing of game texts and opening this repository will pave a quicker way for non-Japanese speaking ARKS to enjoy the game in their native languages in the future.
While we appreciate the efforts of those who don't speak Japanese (through machine translations, DeepL, Google Translate, etc and the like), we would like for only those who have a grasp of the Japanese language to submit translations to RAW JP files.

You can report a translation issue either by submitting an issue via GitHub or from our Discord server.
We ask for those submitting an issue via GitHub to prefix the issue title with the branch you're referring to, such as EN_Reboot: Issue Title for NGS and EN: Issue Title #2 for the base game.
Those using Discord can join via the Phantasy Star Fleet Discord Server, and report issues directly in our #translation-reporting channel. (JP role required)
Any CSV files located in Files are still to be translated, while the CSV files in other folders are at least partly translated.
If you don't understand Japanese, but still want to help out, you can look over the translated lines and make sure all grammar and spelling is correct. (US English, please!)

If you want to translate a file that's in the "/Files/" directory then you MUST move the file into the Translated folder directory before you translate it. The /Files/ directory MUST only contain untranslated files.

You can find stuff to translate by using the Meka bot in the #translations-reporting room on the Phantasy Star Fleet Discord Server. Usage will be in the pinned messages.

Maintain the triple quotes and only edit the text inside the quotes.

Be sure to take a look at the Wiki page for guides and reminders before sending us your translations.

You may create new issues to discuss the translations with other translators. Please note that issues not related to translation may be deleted without notice.
