I mistakenly stumbled into a corner case where this was a problem. I figured I could replace any hardcoded HTTP URLs with HTTPS ones, as long as the target site supports it. (Higgs doesn't, so I left that alone. Also I don't pretend to understand the minified jQuery JS file.)
