A faster relationship with your computer

Most desktop work repeats the same loop: leave the keyboard, find a pointer, search for a target, click, and return. NaviX shortens that loop. It reads the controls already visible on your screen, assigns compact keyboard labels, and lets you act without breaking focus.

NaviX placing keyboard labels on visible controls

NaviX is not limited to one application or one kind of interface. It combines native macOS Accessibility information with visible Chromium controls when available. When an application exposes no meaningful controls, NaviX automatically falls back to a universal coordinate grid instead of leaving you at a dead end.

One interaction model, six surfaces

Labels — see it, type it, done

Press ⇧⌘Space. Every actionable control receives a short, deterministic label. Type the full label to execute it, move through candidates with the keyboard, or open the action palette for right click, double click, Command-click, and click chains.

Search — use the words you already recognize

Press ⇧⌘F, or press / while Labels is open. Search a crowded interface by accessible name and press Return to act on the highlighted result.

Universal Grid — coordinates when meaning is unavailable

Press ⇧⌘K to divide the active surface into stable keyboard regions. Refine with letters, use Backspace to move up, and press Return or Space to click the current center. Grid mode works with custom canvases, remote desktops, streamed interfaces, and other surfaces that do not expose a semantic control tree.

If a complete Labels scan finds no useful application controls, this same Grid opens automatically. NaviX prefers meaning when available and coordinates when not.

Mission Control and Dock — command the whole workspace

NaviX recognizes confirmed Mission Control and App Exposé surfaces, labels visible windows, desktops, and Dock items, and keeps the normal desktop path isolated from overview-only scanning.

App Wheel — your working set, one gesture away

Press ⇧⌘A to open the application wheel. Pin up to twenty apps, then launch or switch by label, arrow keys, Tab, or scrolling.

Settings — make the interaction yours

Record custom global shortcuts, tune label appearance and motion, configure Grid previews and colors, adjust scrolling, manage ignored apps, inspect compatibility, and choose whether NaviX follows the system language.

Keys inside a mode

  • Labels: type a label; use ↑ / ↓ or Control-N / Control-P to change the candidate; Return or Space confirms; Esc closes.
  • Search: type a name and press Return; / opens Search from Labels; Tab and Shift-Tab switch displays.
  • Scroll: use H J K L, U D, gg / G; hold Shift for faster directional scrolling; use Tab or 1–9/0 to choose another region.
  • Grid: type letters to refine the area; Backspace moves up; Return or Space clicks the current center.
  • Actions: press ; in Labels to choose primary click, right click, double click, Command-click, or a click chain.

All global shortcuts are editable in NaviX Settings. Conflicting shortcuts are rejected instead of silently replacing an existing command.

Start in three steps

  1. Download NaviX on a Mac running macOS 13 or later.
  2. Open the app and allow Accessibility and Input Monitoring when macOS asks. Early Access builds without Developer ID notarization may also require System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
  3. Press ⇧⌘Space in any application and type a visible label.

Apple silicon and Intel are supported by the macOS package. The Windows edition remains under development.

Trial, purchase, and license

  • The full trial lasts seven calendar days and requires no credit card.
  • The timer begins at the first online activation of that Mac, not at download.
  • After the trial, NaviX is offered as a one-time purchase; current regional price and terms appear in Stripe Checkout before payment.
  • Purchases are linked to the verified Google account used for Checkout. The account portal shows licenses and active devices.
  • NaviX renews a signed device lease in the background. A temporary network interruption does not interrupt an already-valid offline lease; a revoked or refunded license cannot renew.

Keep the private purchase token shown after payment in a password manager. Never post a token, Checkout session, email address, or device identifier in a public issue.

Local-first by design

Normal navigation processes Accessibility data, keyboard interaction, visible geometry, and optional local visual recognition on the Mac. NaviX does not need to upload interface text, typed content, or screenshots for ordinary navigation. Account, payment, trial, licensing, and update services process only the service information needed for those features.

Read the public NaviX Privacy Policy and Security Policy before using or distributing the product.
