Describe the bug

Volume control was working fine with my M2 Pro Macbook Pro connected to an LG monitor via HDMI>USB-C (usb-c port on laptop), but starting yesterday it stopped. The volume icons show up correctly but volume doesn't change. I'm on MacOs 15.3.2. Any insight?

When I try with BetterDisplay, same issue and it shows no DDC capabilities. However brightness control works fine.

Change volume using keyboard

Expected behavior

Volume changes on external monitor speakers
