Dependency Management Best Practices #3

Open

Description

@wzhouwzhou

It's highly recommended to only pull in dependencies when you need to, especially when the bulk of said dependency exceeds the very size of this library itself. It's a good idea to stop using node-fetch and start using https. Async iteration is a thing and the speed at which JS evolves provides a good idea of supporting future versions and minimizing future code refactoring. Furthermore, doing so removes bloat from the project that could otherwise cause a nightmare scenario with downstream node_modules management.

Make note we consider having a .npmignore file along with node_modules placed within .gitignore as best-practices when it comes to Node/NPM JS modules.

Good day - William
