Installation of CodeGraphContext overwrites VS Code settings #660
Description
Hi,
I trying this project for copilot. When the installer asked me to install the MCP in VS code, it completely replaced the config file. 😢
It shouldn't replace but add the configuration.
Maybe there were some comments in the config as vscode use jsonc encoding. The installer thought it was invalid where it was not, and started over.

It was a big shock to me too! Suddenly, I've lost all of my settings.
Thankfully,
settings syncwas enabled, and I could revert it.Please disable the auto config for VS Code until this issue is resolved.
It's a serious bug. People spend hours customising their IDE. And this tool just deletes them.

Opened #1677 for this. Could a maintainer add a review label when you get a chance? External contributors can't set them.
