Overview

This PR adds comprehensive documentation for all integration points and external dependencies used in the Bohdan-AI organization profile repository, addressing the requirement to document where and how external systems, APIs, services, and libraries are integrated.

Changes Made

New Documentation: INTEGRATIONS.md

Created a detailed 343-line documentation file that catalogs and explains all external integrations used in the repository:

Profile Integrations (7 services):

  • README Typing SVG (readme-typing-svg.herokuapp.com) - Dynamic typing animation with configurable text lines, colors, and dimensions
  • Shields.io (img.shields.io) - Custom badge generation for branding, social metrics, and status display
  • Komarev Profile Views Counter (komarev.com/ghpvc) - Automated profile view tracking and display
  • LinkedIn Integration - Professional networking with follower engagement (12.9K followers)
  • Calendly Integration (calendly.com/bohdanlukianets) - Meeting scheduling and calendar management
  • Amazon Author Central - Book publication links (ASIN: B0D22DY2J8)
  • bohdan.ai Website - Personal/professional domain and contact email

CI/CD Integration (1 service):

  • Azure Pipelines - Continuous integration configured with YAML pipeline on main-1 branch

Enhanced Main README

Updated README.md to include a clear reference to the new integration documentation, making it easily discoverable for contributors and users.

Documentation Structure

Each integration entry includes:

  • Purpose - Clear explanation of what the service does
  • Location - Where in the repository it's configured (profile/README.md, azure-pipelines.yml)
  • Usage - Code examples showing actual implementation
  • Configuration Parameters - All available settings with current values
  • Documentation Links - Official documentation for each service
  • Setup Instructions - Step-by-step guides for configuration

Additional Features

OAuth Integration Guide

Added a comprehensive guide for GitHub OAuth app registration, directly addressing the OAuth registration form shown in the issue's reference image. This includes:

  • Registration process walkthrough
  • Required fields (Application name, Homepage URL, Authorization callback URL)
  • Security best practices for handling Client ID and Client Secret
  • Links to official GitHub OAuth documentation

Environment Variables

Documented the current state of environment variables (none currently required) and provided guidance for future authenticated integrations using GitHub Secrets and Azure Key Vault.

Configuration Files Reference

  • azure-pipelines.yml - Azure Pipelines CI/CD configuration
  • profile/README.md - GitHub organization profile page

Setup Instructions

Complete step-by-step guides for:

  • Initial repository setup
  • Profile page updates
  • Azure Pipelines configuration
  • Updating integration services

Code Quality

  • All code review feedback addressed
  • Added notes for dynamic values (follower counts) that require periodic updates
  • Documented non-standard branch naming (main-1) with explanation
  • Proper markdown formatting throughout
  • All links validated

Benefits

This documentation provides:

  • Clear visibility into all external dependencies
  • Actionable setup instructions for each integration
  • Configuration reference for maintenance and updates
  • Security guidance for future OAuth implementations
  • Easy onboarding for new contributors
