Лучшее переиспользовать инстанс Scanner, а не создавать каждый раз новый.

Scanner есть удобный метод hasNextInt, можно сразу узнать без дополнительных проверок возможно ли интерпретировать строку как int. В данном случае без этой проверки при введение пользователем строки приложение выбросит исключение
