This project was developed as part of the Google Solution Challenge Intra College Hackathon 2023, where it had the honor of winning the 1st prize. The hackathon provided an opportunity for participants to showcase their innovative solutions, and we are proud to have been recognized for our efforts.

The Food and Agriculture Report of 2018 stated that India accounts for approximately 24% of the world’s hungry, the most alarming figure reveals that nearly 4500 children die every day under the age of five years in the country due to hunger and malnutrition, amounting to more than 3 lakh deaths of hungry pupils over a year and at the same time, surprisingly, a recent study shows that 40% of the food produced in India is wasted.

Therefore, there is a call for action on the two issues: of hunger and malnutrition and food wastage by connecting those who have excess food with those who sleep on empty stomachs.

We have created an platform that connects food donors with NGO in need using data analytics. The user friendly app will be accessible to anyone with a smartphone, making it easy for people to get involved in the fight against hunger regardless of their location or schedule.
