Why This Repository Is Obsolete

The repository MrTimcakes/Unity-DirectInput is the original codebase that had been unmaintained for a long time. This repository began as a pull request against that repository but has since evolved into an entirely independent project; however, it is no longer maintained and has not received updates in a significant amount of time, and is archived.

The current fork maintained by imDanoush became an entirely independent project — hundreds of commits ahead of this one. The architecture, feature set, and scope have changed so substantially that the two repositories share little beyond their origin.

All active development, bug fixes, new features, and community support happen exclusively at:

  • Native DInput device management via the DInput Manager that supports UPM
  • Full and corrected Force Feedback support (ConstantForce, Spring, Damper, Sine, Ramp, and more)

  • Verified support for more Fanatec, Simucube, Logitech, Moza, Thrustmaster, Simagic, and other wheelbases
  • An improved companion DirectInputExplorer Windows app for development
  • Updated documentation, releases, etc.
