GitCMS + Docusaurus
The Docusaurus CMS for your team,
clients, and agents.
Built your Docusaurus site with code or an AI coding agent? GitCMS gives everyone who runs it one safe place to edit, review, and publish—while your content files, Git history, and deployment pipeline stay yours.

Trusted by 200+ website builders
Your framework, repository, content files, and hosting stay exactly where they are.
Day One is done
Your Docusaurus site is built. Who runs it now?
A coding agent can ship a Docusaurus site in an afternoon. After launch the work changes: copy updates, new posts, client requests, and agent edits someone needs to check. That's Day Two, and it's what GitCMS is for.
Day One · Build
Docusaurus is the default for product docs, and agents now draft and restructure whole doc sets.
The handoff
Docs and blog posts live in docs/ and blog/. Writers and product teams edit pages; sidebars and plugins stay in config.
Day Two · Run
Clients, marketers, and AI agents edit through GitCMS. Changes are reviewed, published as commits, and Docusaurus rebuilds from your repo as usual.
Docusaurus handoff tip: Agent-written docs need review. Use review before publish so product owners approve doc changes before they ship.
"GitCMS turns your repo into a full CMS — no database needed."
A visual workspace for everyone running the site.
Writers, marketers, and clients work visually while GitCMS keeps every change grounded in the content model and files in your Docusaurus repository.
- Familiar rich-text and block editing
- Structured fields from your content model
- Images and media stay with the repository
- Docusaurus docs and blog collections with sidebar-aware editing
Bring your own agent. Keep the final say.
Let the AI tools you already use research, draft, and propose changes. GitCMS turns that work into a visible content task for your Docusaurus site before anything is published.
- Use ChatGPT, Claude, or a personal agent like OpenClaw or Hermes
- Proposed changes stay attached to a content task
- People refine and approve the work
- GitCMS publishes only when the team is ready
Review important changes before they go live.
See what changed, keep feedback with the work, and publish only when it is ready—whether the update came from a person or an AI agent.
- Ideas, Draft, Review, and Published stay visible
- Briefs, feedback, contributors, and changes stay together
- Reviewers decide what is ready to ship
- Git records the final published history

Invite with link...
Give people access—not the keys.
Invite teammates, clients, and content agents to the sites they work on without sharing developer accounts or exposing every project.
- Simple roles for writing, reviewing, and publishing
- Site-by-site access for clients and teams
- Separate workspaces when projects need separation
- Agents participate without receiving developer credentials
Docusaurus CMS questions
- What is GitCMS for Docusaurus?
- GitCMS is a visual CMS for Docusaurus sites that live in a Git repository. It reads the Markdown or MDX files your site builds from (for example docs), lets your team, clients, and AI agents edit, review, and publish them, and commits every change back to your repo.
- Can non-developers edit a Docusaurus site without Git?
- Yes. Writers, marketers, and clients edit in a visual editor and move work through drafts, review, and publishing. Git stays underneath; nobody has to touch branches, pull requests, or the codebase.
- My Docusaurus site was built with Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor. Will GitCMS work?
- Yes, if the site is in a Git repository and loads its editable content from Markdown or MDX. GitCMS gives you a copy-paste prompt so your coding agent can set up the configuration, including moving hardcoded copy into collections.
- Do I need to change my Docusaurus build or hosting?
- No. GitCMS commits to your repository and your existing build and hosting deploy those commits as usual. There is no content database or API to add.

Every page your team needs to keep changing.
Marketing pages, blogs, docs, changelogs, help centers, directories — if your site reads it from Markdown or MDX, GitCMS lets people and agents run it.
