MythicalSystems Studios

From a hosting company
to FeatherPanel.

We started as a hosting company in 2021. Existing panels got in the way, so we kept rebuilding until the result was FeatherPanel.

Our Mission

Hosting tools should not
cost a fortune or take a week to set up.

We did not start as a software company. We started as MythicalNodes, a game server hosting company in 2021. We were operators first, dealing with the same broken panels and tooling that every small host deals with.

So we fixed it. We forked ShadowsDash, rebuilt it into MythicalDash, then threw out the inherited complexity and started again with MythicalCore and FeatherPanel.

We build for the person who runs a community game server, the solo operator with a VPS fleet, and the small hosting provider who needs solid tooling without enterprise pricing.

How We Think

How we decide
what to ship.

Code on GitHub and published benchmarks matter more than a wall slogan.

Open source

FeatherPanel stays under AGPL-3.0. Full source, no feature gates, no paywalled modules. Fork it, audit it, build on it.

Performance matters

We track response time, install size, and idle CPU. Those numbers affect how we choose features and dependencies.

Built for providers

We build for people who run many clients and servers. The UI stays usable, the API stays complete, and the ops footprint stays small.

Security in the core

XChaCha20, 2FA, audit logs, CSRF protection. These are defaults, not an enterprise upsell.

One panel, three workloads

Game servers, VMs, and web hosting from one login, one dashboard, and one API instead of five separate panels.

Community input

Many features started as GitHub issues or Discord feedback. The roadmap follows what operators ask for.

The Team

Who ships
FeatherPanel.

A small core team and a larger open-source community.

Our Story

From a hosting company
to an open-source platform.

MythicalNodes A Hosting Company

It started as a business, not a codebase. NaysKutzu founded MythicalNodes as a game server hosting company, running servers for clients and quickly learning what was broken about the existing tooling.

Forking ShadowsDash

Unhappy with available panels, the team forked ShadowsDash (an open-source Pterodactyl dashboard) and started iterating. The goal was simple: make it faster, cleaner, and less painful to operate.

MythicalDash Takes Over

The fork had grown far from the original and became its own project: MythicalDash. Hosts used it in production, which confirmed the idea was worth continuing.

Starting From Scratch MythicalCore

MythicalDash showed what was possible, but the architecture had limits. A full rewrite began alongside MythicalCore, an internal framework aimed at performance and a small dependency footprint.
