Mobile Remote Control

View and continue Qoder desktop tasks from a mobile device.

Use your phone to follow Qoder tasks, add instructions, and respond to pending questions while away from your computer. Tasks continue in their selected local, SSH, or WSL environment.

Before you start

  • Keep desktop Qoder signed in and running.
  • Make sure the desktop device has power, network access, and access to the task's workspace.

Download and sign in

  1. Open Settings in the desktop app, then select the mobile section under Integrations.
  2. Check the current product in the download area and scan the QR code to download its mobile app.
  3. Open the mobile app and sign in with the same account as on the desktop.
  • For Qoder desktop, choose Qoder Mobile.
  • Qoder and Qoder CN have separate accounts, tasks, and data. Use the mobile app that matches your desktop product.
  • See mobile downloads for supported stores and regions. If you cannot download the app, follow that page to use the H5 version for your product.

Enable remote control on the desktop

  1. In the mobile section of Settings → Integrations, find the remote-control options.
  2. Turn on the switch that allows the mobile app to control this device. You can then create and control remote tasks on this computer from your phone.
  3. To keep tasks running while you are away, enable the option to keep this device awake. It prevents system sleep while Qoder is running.
If the connection is unavailable, check the status shown on this page and use Retry connection if offered.
Keep the desktop app online and the selected execution environment available, with power, networking, and project access. The keep-awake option does not remain active after the app exits.

Continue a task remotely

  1. Sign in on mobile with the same account as the desktop and connect to the target computer.
  2. Open a synchronized task and check its workspace, latest reply, and tool status. Keep the remote host connected for SSH tasks.
  3. Add instructions or respond to pending interactions. You can also start a task in workspaces that support task creation.
Mobile uses the desktop's workspaces, tools, and permissions. See mobile remote control for more phone-side operations. If a task is missing or stops progressing, check that remote control is enabled and both clients use the same account. Then confirm that the computer is awake, Qoder is running, and the network is available. For SSH or WSL tasks, check the corresponding environment too.

Continue WSL tasks from mobile

First connect the WSL distribution on the Windows desktop, open the Linux workspace, and finish initialization. Then follow the steps above to continue from mobile. Execution stays in that WSL distribution. If the workspace is missing or the task cannot continue, confirm that the distribution and workspace are available on Windows before checking synchronization on mobile.

Turn off remote control

When you no longer need to control this computer from your phone, return to the mobile section of Settings → Integrations and turn off the switch that allows mobile control of this device.
