Network and proxy

Configure a proxy, check service connectivity, and troubleshoot network issues.

Use Settings → Network to configure the proxy for Qoder or diagnose connections to sign-in, model, messaging, and resource services. If your network requires a proxy, configure it first, then run diagnostics if a service is still unavailable.

Configure a proxy

Go to Settings → Network → Network proxy and choose System proxy or Manual proxy. Manual configuration supports HTTP/HTTPS addresses with a port, such as http://127.0.0.1:7890; replace it with your actual proxy. Authentication can be included in the URL; percent-encode special characters.

Specify proxy bypass addresses

In manual mode, enter domains or IP addresses that should connect directly in No proxy for, one per line or separated by commas. A domain includes its subdomains; IP addresses match exactly. For example, use example.com, not https://example.com or *.example.com. Ports and network ranges are not supported. The limit is 100 entries. Choose Test connection, inspect the result, then Save. Restart the app for the saved configuration to take effect, after checking that current work can be interrupted. Leaving the page clears an unsaved proxy draft. This affects the local app and local Agent, not Remote SSH hosts. A reachable proxy port does not establish service availability or successful account authentication.

Run a diagnostic

1

Open Network diagnostics

Go to Settings → Network.
2

Start the checks

Select Run diagnostics. Keep Qoder online and wait for every service to return a result.
3

Review the results

Check Foundation services, Model services, Messaging services, and Resource services. Each result shows connectivity and response time.
4

Keep the results

Select Copy diagnostic report when you need to share the results. Close the result window and select Run diagnostics again after the network changes.

If a check fails

  1. Confirm that the device can access the internet, then rerun the diagnostic.
  2. Compare the result on another network approved by your organization.
  3. If only one service fails, provide the diagnostic report to your network administrator or Qoder Support.
  4. After changing network, firewall, DNS, or certificate settings, rerun the diagnostic to confirm recovery.
A diagnostic report can help locate a connection issue. Do not include account passwords, proxy credentials, certificate private keys, or other secrets in a task or support request.
