This is a known issue, but it wasn't being tracked here. So, thanks for opening the issue. https://github.com/ericvsmith/dataclasses/issues/92#issuecomment-382473127 Not to put Łukasz on the spot (he's sitting behind me even as we speak), but I think we missed the window for 3.7.0 for this. I'll discuss it with him.
